The Service
Fish Translator is a fishing-intelligence platform for anglers, with hatch matching, bait recommendations, water-condition analysis, tournament tools, gear marketplace, event discovery, and partner integrations. Using the platform means you agree to these terms.
Account Terms
- You must provide accurate information, including a real email and honest birth year
- You must be at least 13 years old
- One account per person; sharing accounts violates these terms
- You are responsible for activity under your account — keep your password safe
- You may not sell, rent, or transfer your account
Community Rules
We run a positive, educational community. Violators can be banned (the users.banned flag in our database). No:
- Harassment, threats, slurs, or hateful content
- Scams, fake listings, phishing, or impersonation
- References to illegal taking, over-limits, or other unlawful fishing activity
- Spam, commercial solicitations outside approved channels, or bot activity
- Sharing other people’s private spots or information without consent
User Content License
You keep ownership of the listings, catch logs, and catch photos you upload. By posting to Fish Translator you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display that content on the platform, with attribution to you.
We may also use aggregated or anonymized data (for example, "anglers in a given watershed reported pattern X") for feature showcases, analytics, and conservation reporting. These aggregates never identify individual users.
Limitations of Liability
Fishing carries inherent risk. You are responsible for your own safety on and around water, for following all applicable federal, state, and local laws, for possessing the correct licenses, and for practicing safe boating and wading.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Translator Series, Inc. and its officers, employees, and partners are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the platform, your reliance on any information presented, or your on-water actions.
The service is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
Termination
You can close your account anytime through account settings or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice, including for repeated community-rule violations.
Dispute Resolution & Arbitration
Most disputes can be resolved by emailing us first — please try that before anything formal.
If that doesn’t work, the parties agree to resolve disputes through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Class actions, collective actions, and jury trials are waived, to the extent permitted by law. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of creating your account by emailing us with "ARBITRATION OPT-OUT" in the subject line.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and applicable state law. Venue for non-arbitrable disputes is the federal or state courts located in the United States.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in-product and by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms. The “Last updated” date at the top will always reflect the most recent revision.
